Thursday 9th November - walk *** – Circuit of Levington - mainly cloudy.

I had hoped to go to Levington early to make the most of high water but it was raining with light winds so decided to do my exercises. By midday the breeze had built a little and I was tempted by an open sea session at The Manor but did not fancy going out by myself in the gloom so headed over to Levington arriving at 12.40. The wind was too light to be bothered with sailing especially as I have had several poor sessions of late so I decided to have a walk with my camera instead:) I walked down to the wooden walkway to take some pics of the yachts and up to look at the old boat area where there are some interesting wrecks, I saw three deer across the fields before taking the path through the trees back to the Orwell where I decided to turn right and head for Levington Creek despite the path being very muddy to start with:( It was lovely with the dark mody skies looking great and so peaceful as I didn’t see another soul, just lovely:) Not a huge amount of bird activity, an egret, the odd waer and gull plus a green woodpecker. Past the small flooded area to reach the creek and out onto the lane leading back to the marina road. Down through the boats again and bacl to the van walking nearly three miles, nice walk just a shame Mag was not there but she would have hated the mud!
